that's right, the patch for the original release of the game. that problem is likely to happen when it finishes downloading. as far as i'm aware, the game's engine should be able to handle both being patched at the same time, and the series has done it previously. but why did it continue trying to download this patch after the original patch had finished? that's all just pure speculation, but it's not the first time they've tried to mix up old and new. maybe it was trying to download one and then the other in the wrong order. even if it turns out not to be that, it needs to be fixed.

more random updates, i'll reserve judgement. i wonder if this is a sign of the dissolution of the publishing group. these patches will really get my hopes up only to have them smashed down to the ground.
while playing the beta build of the den of wolves, i received notification that there was a new patch. after the download was complete, i got sent to my ps4 home screen. i checked my download progress, and there was a new update. it immediately crashed for the very same issue as before.
now, some folks are wondering whether download this patch will make them fly in wolfenstein 2 and gives the game a long-awaited seamless jump to the nazis. i've been playing wolf for a while now, and my first thought was, "meh." it's a decent game, with a solid and entertaining story, but the graphics don't wow me. the campaign does end on a cliffhanger that has me intrigued enough to pick up the collector's edition of the game or perhaps its sequel. both of which are on the horizon.
